Regulatory Law

Major upheaval is coming to the regulatory landscapes in any number of industries. As this process unfolds, it will be essential for affected companies and organizations to have counsel that knows the nuances of the regulatory process and is well-versed in the specialized field of administrative law.

Our firm fits that bill. As General Counsel of OMB, Dan Jacobson served as lead counsel to the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs (OIRA), the central authority in the Executive Branch for reviewing regulations. Dan’s team reviewed nearly every significant Executive Branch regulation for Administrative Procedure Act compliance. Lynn Eisenberg oversaw the rulemaking process for high-profile rules at the two agencies at which she served, and three other firm attorneys served in the Department of Justice’s Federal Programs Branch, which litigates the most important and complex administrative law matters against federal agencies.

We are able to help clients in commenting on proposed rules, in identifying the often obscure legal administrative law infirmities in rules and other policy documents, and in bringing strategic litigation to obtain meaningful relief.
